Disney Cruise - all other information

This is a post of all the little things you'll need to know before boarding a DCL

Passport:

For a US Citizen on a *closed loop cruise passports are not required, but we highly suggest one. If anything were to happen, you would be unable to fly home without one. Passport Cards may be used as identification cards. However, like any other state issued ID, they can not be used to fly home in an emergency from any foreign port. Therefore, book style passports are recommended. You can also use an original state issued birth certificate on close looped cruises (but cannot fly with one).

*a closed loop cruise is one that that both departs from and returns to a U.S. port

Transportation:

Disney Cruise Line Transfers from the Orlando Airport (MCO) to Port Canaveral are $70 round trip and $35 one way. If traveling to/from a Disney Resort, one way pricing is used. Transfers from Barcelona are $59 round trip from the airport and $30 one way. Transfers from London are $165 round trip from the airport and $85 one way. The price of transfers is per person. Disney Cruise Line provides transportation from all Walt Disney World Resorts except Fort Wilderness.

Archer Luxury Travel also has a corporate account for transfers in most cities that can save you money.

DCL Travel Insurance:

Minimum cost per person: $29
Maximum cost per person: $399

We always suggest travel insurance. It's a small amount of money to pay for peace of mind if something were to happen. Did you know travel insurance covers MORE than just the cost of your trip? We also offer 3rd party insurance, ask your Archer Luxury Travel Agent for further details.

Cruise Contract:

Your ticket is the Cruise Contract. Carefully read your Cruise Contract, as it contains important terms and conditions which govern your cruise vacation and affect your legal rights. It must be signed by all Guests prior to embarking any Disney Cruise Line vessel. In the event of conflict between the terms and conditions contained in the Cruise Contract, these Terms and Conditions, the terms of any Disney Cruise Line advertisement or offer, and the oral or written representations of any Disney Cruise Line representative, the terms and conditions contained in the Cruise Contract shall control.

There are no ATMs aboard a DCL. All purchasing onboard during your cruise duration is done via Key to the World card. Most transactions at ports of call will accept USD. If you need currency foreign transaction fees can add up, so it's a good idea to bring cash with you before you board.
